Pair the scale of COEX with a quieter temple visit. This is a useful half-day route in Gangnam, combining an indoor book-lined atrium, shopping and traditional architecture.

How to get there
Samseong Station on Line 2 and Bongeunsa Station on Line 9 serve different sides of COEX. Use the station closest to your first stop and follow mall directories indoors.

Find the library
Enter COEX and follow signs for Starfield Library, rather than wandering the exhibition halls.

Browse the atrium
See the tall shelves from the public walkways, then choose a reading spot without occupying it only for photographs.

Cross to Bongeunsa
Return to street level and use marked crossings to reach the temple. Follow visitor paths and worship-area signs.

Finish near your station
Use Bongeunsa Station after the temple, or return through COEX to Samseong.

The library, aquarium and exhibitions have separate access arrangements. A mall visit does not include attraction tickets, and temple ceremonies are not staged for visitors.
