Four practical routes in every region. Budgets exclude long-distance travel and accommodation unless stated; verify current fares, closures and reservations before departure.
A classic first Seoul outing: the royal palace, hanbok and a well-known samgyetang restaurant featured by Visit Seoul. Choose a day other than Tuesday.

1 Gyeongbokgung
Start at Gyeongbokgung Station, Line 3. Exit 5 leads towards the palace; for hanbok, go to your booked shop first. Allow 15–20 minutes for finding the entrance and tickets. The pin marks the palace, not a rental shop.
Return your hanbok first. Allow roughly 10–20 minutes from the palace area, longer from an interior pavilion or distant rental shop. Enter the restaurant and ask for one seat before joining a queue.
A hot chicken-and-rice soup with ginseng. Usually mild before seasoning; the chicken has bones. One standard bowl is a practical solo lunch. Ask staff about ingredients and optional extras before ordering. The photograph shows the dish type, not a Tosokchon serving.
Estimated lunch budget: ₩20,000–25,000

I am dining alone. One samgyetang, please.
혼자예요. 삼계탕 하나 주세요.Honjayeyo. Samgyetang hana juseyo.
Visit Seoul lists 10:00–22:00. Recheck the day’s opening and last order; the price here is an estimate.
09:30 · Collect your hanbok at the booked shop. Allow time for fitting and confirm the return deadline. Use the shop’s address, not the palace entrance.
10:30–12:00 · Explore Gyeongbokgung. For direct palace access, use Subway Line 3, Gyeongbokgung Station Exit 5. Follow the open visitor routes.
12:00–12:30 · Return the hanbok before lunch; leave a buffer for walking and changing.
12:30–14:30 · Walk to Tosokchon for samgyetang after returning your hanbok. Leave room for a queue, then tea in Seochon if time allows.
Palace admission is normally ₩3,000 for foreign adults aged 19–64 who do not qualify for free entry. The total assumes qualifying hanbok. Excludes accommodation, airport travel, shopping, premium styling, photography and rental overtime.
The city’s signature pairing: Hanok Village and Jeonju bibimbap. Hankook Jib is listed by both Jeonju tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization. The overnight pace leaves time to find your accommodation without rushing.

1 Hankook Jib
From Jeonju Station, use a live map to your booked accommodation first if leaving bags. Allow 30–45 minutes as a taxi-transfer planning buffer, including waiting; bus trips can take longer. Lunch is a separate stop, not at the station.
After lunch, allow 5–10 minutes to reach the Gyeonggijeon area. This budget covers the outside walk only; entry is optional and extra. Continue into the Hanok Village lanes.
Allow another 5–10 minutes between the Gyeonggijeon area and the cathedral. Respect worship and any closed gates. Return to your hanok at the agreed check-in time; on day two leave a generous station buffer.
Rice mixed with vegetables and sauce, often with beef and egg. Ask which version uses cooked beef: yukhoe means raw beef. Add gochujang gradually. The photo is a representative bibimbap photographed in Jeonju, not a verified Hankook Jib meal.
Estimated lunch budget: ₩12,000–18,000

KTO lists 09:30–21:00, break 16:00–17:00. Aim for lunch, and check same-day changes. Phone +82-63-284-2224.
Day 1 · Book your outward and return train to Jeonju. Choose the actual Seoul-area departure station shown on the ticket; do not assume every train leaves Seoul Station.
After arrival · Travel from Jeonju Station to your hanok. Ask in advance whether bags can be left before check-in. Use a current map for the bus or taxi route.
Lunch & afternoon · Try bibimbap, then walk the Hanok Village lanes. Gyeonggijeon and paid experiences are optional and outside this budget.
Evening · Check in at the agreed time, eat dinner and stay overnight. Confirm a bed versus floor bedding and private bathroom when booking.
Day 2 · Breakfast, a relaxed walk, tea and lunch. Collect your bags and allow extra station-transfer time before the booked train.
Solo room allowance: ₩100,000–180,000 for one night. The total is for one adult travelling alone. Excludes Seoul station transfers, shopping, paid attractions and hanbok rental. Peak-date rooms may exceed the estimate.
A compact old-town food walk recommended together by KTO: Jagalchi, BIFF Square and Gukje Market. It avoids a separate coastal bus transfer and keeps your return near the same subway area.

1 Jagalchi Market
Start at Jagalchi Station, Line 1. Open directions to the market building; allow 10–15 minutes for finding your way and crossings. Browse first. If buying seafood, ask the complete price including preparation and table charges before agreeing.
Walk inland from the market, using crossings; allow 5–15 minutes. Look for the cinema handprints and food stalls. Buy one small snack first so you still have room for lunch.
Allow 5–15 minutes from BIFF Square, with a lunch detour to Halmae Gaya Milmyeon. Browse the market lanes, take a café break, then navigate back to Jagalchi Station for Line 1. Shop opening hours vary.
Choose broth-style milmyeon for a solo bowl of chewy wheat noodles in cold broth; bibim-milmyeon is mixed with spicy sauce. Ask for chilli seasoning separately. This allowance covers a simple lunch, not a seafood feast. Address: 부산 중구 광복로 56-14.
Estimated lunch budget: ₩12,000–20,000

Confirm today’s opening on the map or call +82-51-246-3314. For a snack, try a ssiat hotteok: a hot, sweet pancake with seed filling. Allow ₩5,000–10,000 for snacks in total; check the stall’s displayed price.
