Destination
Start at the ticket office and elevator approach, walk the viewpoint, and add the sky cycle or slide only if you want the extra activity. KTO lists April–October 10:00–18:00, November–March 10:00–17:00; tickets close 30 minutes earlier. Closed Mondays, or the next weekday after a public-holiday Monday. Activities pause 12:00–13:00 for checks. Admission and rides are charged separately; confirm the current price with the operator.
Transport
Search Seoul–Mukho rail services for your date on KORAIL; some journeys may need a connection. Mukho station and Donghae station are different. From Mukho arrange a taxi or local bus to the entrance, keeping the hillside walk in mind. Buy the return train first, then leave a transfer buffer after the harbour meal.
Stay
For rail travellers, compare accommodation around Mukho station or the harbour; check the walk uphill before booking. Mangsang Auto Camping Resort is an operator-listed alternative for a beach overnight, but it needs another transfer from Mukho. Confirm cabin or campsite type, bedding and total price; a camping pitch is not a hotel room.
Local food
Mukho harbour fish eateries or Eodal seafood street fit after the viewpoint. For sashimi, ask the total fish price plus preparation, table and spicy-soup charges before choosing seafood. Prefer cooked fish or rice-and-soup if raw seafood does not suit you. Eodal is a separate harbour-side stop; map the transfer rather than assuming it is next to the ticket office.
Personal essentials
Walking shoes, a windproof layer, water and a charged phone. Carry glasses securely and check ride clothing and height restrictions before buying a ticket.
A workable visit plan
Mukho station → Sky Valley → lighthouse and a short Nongoldam-gil walk → harbour lunch → return station. Our suggested allowance is 3–4 hours locally, excluding the Seoul journey and queues. In strong wind or a closure, keep the harbour walk and return connection; do not plan around rides operating.
