The roofed corridor frames the sea while protecting part of the walking route from rain. Follow the open garden circuit; confirm admission and closing time before planning a sunset visit.

Destination

Begin with the corridor and sea-facing garden, leaving time for the hanok area. KTO lists ₩7,000 admission and Friday–Sunday/public-holiday opening in the operating season. Check the operator’s calendar and last admission: winter closures and exceptions matter. A sunset-themed garden does not guarantee admission until sunset.

Transport

Book a train to Daecheon or a coach to Boryeong, then arrange the separate road transfer to Jukdo. Save the entrance address and return pickup. Ask about the current drop-off/parking location; KTO does not list on-site parking. Do not assume a beach bus stops at the gate.

Stay

Compare Daecheon Beach for restaurants and evening walks with Muchangpo for a quieter coastal base. Sanghwawon also lists villas: ask the operator about guest access, room availability and cancellation. A day ticket is not a room booking.

Local food

Choose a cooked seafood meal at Daecheon or Muchangpo after the garden. Compare fish soup, grilled fish and shellfish dishes; ask for the full price and minimum portions. These are separate beach districts, so choose one that fits your return transfer.

A workable visit plan

Daecheon arrival → confirmed Jukdo transfer → garden loop → one beach meal → return train or booked coastal stay. Reserve transport before choosing a late garden visit.

Suggested visit times are our planning allowances, not measured transfer times. Reserve the return connection first; current room prices, menus and local departures need a check for your travel date.
