The garden occupies a lakeside slope. Reserve entry first, then choose a manageable path through planted areas and viewpoints. The aerial photo is not a visitor-access map or a prediction of this autumn’s colour.

Look over the garden and lake from permitted viewpoints. Give the planting areas space and ask staff which sections suit your mobility; leave time for the climb back and return transport.

Reserve a date through the official site before travelling. The operator lists Monday–Saturday 10:00–18:00, shorter winter hours, Sunday closure and January–February closure. Check the actual date calendar and fee. Expect garden paths and changes of level; ask about step-free access if needed.
Arrange a car or return taxi to the exact Gunbuk-myeon entrance. Daejeon and Okcheon rail arrivals both need a further rural transfer. The operator restricts large-coach access on Saturdays and public holidays; group organisers should check before booking a coach.
A day trip can return to Daejeon; an overnight can use Okcheon town or confirmed Daecheong Lake accommodation. The garden has posted a lodging notice, but confirm room operation and guest booking directly rather than treating admission as an overnight reservation.
Café the Lake is listed by the garden for a lake-view break. Check its current menu; café service is not a guaranteed full lunch. Plan a meal in Okcheon or Daejeon along your return route rather than assuming food delivery into the garden.
Confirmed garden booking → arranged rural transfer → garden and lake viewpoints → café if open → return meal and train. Keep this as a half-day local visit; other Daecheong Lake attractions have their own transfer times.
Suggested visit times are our planning allowances, not measured transfer times. Reserve the return connection first; current room prices, menus and local departures need a check for your travel date.
