Destination

Follow the designated flower paths and visit the temple quietly. Choose a wider hillside view rather than stepping among flowers. KTO identifies September–October as the typical aster season, but it does not confirm today’s bloom or a 2026 festival ticket. Check the temple’s current admission, opening and parking arrangements before leaving town. Steps and uneven stone surfaces make secure footwear useful; exposed rocks are not a necessary photo stop.

Transport

Plan your Mungyeong/Jeomchon arrival first, then a separate local bus or taxi to Bongseo 2-gil 201. New rail arrival points and the Jeomchon coach terminal are not interchangeable. Confirm the rural return or pre-arrange a pickup. A parking restriction during flower weekends can change the final approach; follow staff directions rather than roadside parking suggestions from old blogs.

Stay

A Jeomchon/Mungyeong city base is practical for coach travellers and meals. A rural pension can shorten the drive only if its exact road access fits. Do not describe an ordinary temple visit as an available templestay: overnight religious programmes require a separately confirmed booking.

Local food

Compare a cooked Mungyeong pork meal or a rice-and-soup option in town. Ask whether barbecue has a two-portion minimum; solo visitors can choose a single-serving meal. Omija drinks are a regional speciality, but a tea or snack sold at the temple is not a guaranteed full lunch.

Personal essentials

Shoes with grip, water, light warm layer and sun protection. Keep your bag small and dress respectfully in worship areas. Carry your saved return pickup details; do not use a tripod where it blocks a narrow flower path.

A workable visit plan

Jeomchon/Mungyeong arrival → booked transfer to Bongseo 2-gil 201 → temple and designated aster paths → confirmed meal → return pickup. Munhui Farm in Gaeun is a separate road stop, not the same flower field.

Suggested visit times are our planning allowances, not measured transfer times. Reserve the return connection first; current room prices, menus and local departures need a check for your travel date.
