NO-GUESSWORK WALK

Follow one route, then explore

  1. 1

    Anguk Station Exit 6

Walk south to the top of Insadong-gil; the pedestrian street is easier to follow from this end.

  2. 2

    Ssamziegil

Walk the rising courtyard ramp for shops and a high view back into the lane.

  3. 3

    Insadong-gil side lanes

Choose one tea or craft lane rather than turning into every alley. Keep the main street as your reference.

  4. 4

    Jogyesa or Jonggak

Turn west for Jogyesa, or continue south to Jonggak Station for the easiest onward trip.

FOOD & BREAKS

Pause without losing the route

Traditional tea, rice cakes and temple-food restaurants are found around the district. Confirm prices before ordering set menus and check whether stairs are involved.

RESPECT & RETURN

Before you go

Weekend pedestrian arrangements and festival crowds change the feel of the street. Jogyesa is an active place of worship; keep pathways open and follow photography signs.
