The county visitor guide describes an approximately 45–60 minute bridge circuit. Leave additional time for parking, steps and photographs; the bridge approach is not a flat, step-free lake deck. Check current opening, weekly closure and wind/weather restrictions with the operator before arrival. If heights or stairs are unsuitable, use a permitted lower riverside viewpoint instead of forcing the crossing. Never continue onto a summit route without separate hiking preparation.
Transport
Reach Geumsan by a suitable coach connection, then arrange a local bus or taxi to Cheonnae-ri 241-8. There is no railway station at the bridge. If using Daejeon as your gateway, allow the separate Geumsan transfer and the final rural leg. Confirm the return pickup before crossing and save the bridge parking entrance.
Stay
Geumsan town is a practical overnight base with more meals than the bridge area. A rural riverside pension requires a checked road transfer. Use the county’s lodging directory to compare exact addresses and contact the property about heating, bed type and cancellation; the view does not establish a walkable route to the bridge.
Local food
The county links the bridge visit with nearby Insam Eojuk Village. Eojuk is a cooked freshwater-fish porridge/soup, not a vegetarian meal; ask about bones, spice, ginseng and portion minimums. Choose a named restaurant from the county food information and confirm current serving times before your return transfer.
Personal essentials
Shoes with strong grip, water, a windproof layer and a zipped small bag. Keep hands free for stairs and do not use a tripod to block the narrow bridge. Check wind and rain before leaving town; a bridge closure should lead to your lower-view backup.
A workable visit plan
Geumsan base → permitted bridge circuit → confirmed eojuk meal → return. The Geumsan Forest Culture Town is another destination needing its own road journey, not a walk from the bridge.
