NAVER Map and KakaoMap are useful for live Korean transit, walking routes and exact entrances. Our buttons keep the Korean place name in the search so the correct listing is easier to match.
01NAVER Map
The official app provides Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese maps, plus English navigation.
- Install or update NAVER Map.
- Open the app menu and its settings.
- Choose Language → English. If the option is managed by your phone, set NAVER Map’s app language to English in iOS or Android settings.
- Return to this site and tap NAVER Map · English. Allow location access only when you want current-position routes.
02KakaoMap
KakaoMap offers live Korean routes and current-location search. English interface coverage can vary by screen and listing.
- Install or update KakaoMap.
- Open app settings and choose English. If no in-app selector appears, use the phone’s per-app language setting and reopen KakaoMap.
- Tap KakaoMap · English on any destination card.
- Keep the Korean result selected when English and Korean names look different; it is the exact search term prepared by this guide.
BEFORE YOU START WALKING
Four checks that prevent a wrong destination
- Match the Korean name shown on this website with the result in the app.
- Check the entrance, not only the neighbourhood or mountain name.
- Choose transit, walking or driving after the exact place opens.
- Save the return station or bus stop before leaving the main route.
The external map service controls its interface and place translations. A link cannot force every web label into English; opening the installed app with English selected gives the most consistent result.
