Destination
The cable car runs from Multae-ri to the 531 m Bibongsan summit over a 2.3 km line. Compare standard and glass-floor cabins before reserving. Operating hours, ticket packages and weather suspension are shown by the operator for the travel date; do not rely on old articles quoting a fixed closing time. Suggested local time: 2–3 hours for ticketing, ride and viewpoints, longer in holiday queues.
Transport
Use KORAIL for Seoul–Jecheon trains, then plan a separate bus or taxi to Cheongpung Lakeside Cable Car. The lakeside is outside central Jecheon. Check the local bus departure and last return before buying cable-car tickets; save the Korean entrance address for the driver. The monorail at Dogok-ri uses another boarding point and ticket.
Stay
Jecheon station or city accommodation is the simpler base for a train arrival. For a slower lakeside stay, compare Cheongpung Resort: Lake Hotel and Hill House have different room types. Confirm the exact building, cancellation terms and the cable-car transfer; a lake-view room does not remove the need for transport.
Local food
Cheongpung Hwanggeum Tteokgalbi, Cheongpungho-ro 1682, appears in Jecheon’s food listings. Compare tteokgalbi and mushroom-bulgogi sets, current price and minimum portions with the restaurant. It is a separate meal stop along the lakeside road; add it only if your car or taxi route fits, otherwise eat back in Jecheon before the train.
A workable visit plan
Jecheon arrival → confirmed lakeside transfer → cable-car return ride and summit deck → one meal → Jecheon return. Add Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex only with extra time and its own admission check. Fog can hide the panorama; keep an indoor alternative or postpone the ride before paying.
