Purple asters beneath wind turbines, with mountains stretching across the horizon. Plan the hill, how to get there, an overnight base and your next meal together.

Destination · Flowers first, not a summit challenge
This is Geochang in Gyeongsangnam-do, not the Gamaksan suspension bridge in Paju. Save the Korean name 거창 별바람언덕 and address before leaving.
Start with the main flower path; keep inside designated routes and avoid stepping into planted beds.
Frame one turbine with the flower foreground, then choose a wider ridge view. Give other visitors room to pass.
Finish at the marked viewpoint and return to your agreed pickup. Sunset is optional only with a confirmed return; the festival’s listed closing time is not a promise of night access.
Wear walking shoes and carry a windproof layer, drinking water and a charged phone. The exposed hill is not a guaranteed step-free route; visitors with limited mobility should ask about drop-off, slopes and accessible toilets before travelling.
Search 서울남부 → 거창 and the reverse journey for your date in Tmoney or Bustago. Current route listings show this connection; confirm your exact terminal, departure, fare and available seats in the operator’s booking system. Do not use an old timetable as your ticket.
Geochang terminal → shuttle parking
Arrange a taxi or check a usable local connection to the temporary festival parking at Geochang Advanced Industrial Complex, Namsang-myeon (대산리 산147). The intercity coach does not deliver you to the flower hill. Agree the return pickup, address and total taxi quote; no fixed taxi fare is promised here.
During the 2026 festival, KTO lists a ₩3,000 return shuttle. Without a valid mountain vehicle reservation, use this route. October’s published advance booking deadline was 6 September, already passed on this guide’s review date; the official link is for current instructions, not guaranteed new bookings.

KTO gives an estimated 100 minutes on weekdays / 120 minutes on holidays for the return shuttle journey. Keep that separate from your hill walk and intercity travel; queues can add time. After the festival, do not assume these services continue.
Cabins, forest lodge and camping through Foresttrip. Official room hours: 15:00–11:00 next day. In Goje-myeon, separate from the hill; book transport as well as the room.
Resort, pension and glamping options. Suitable to compare for a Wicheon/Suseungdae car itinerary; check room type, included activities and cancellation directly.
These are accommodation options, not a promise of vacancy or a tested hotel recommendation. Check the final room price, foreign-guest booking requirements, bedding, parking, meals and cancellation terms directly. A remote property can add transfer costs.
Handmade tofu, cheonggukjang and pork bulgogi. Listings report 11:00–19:00 and Wednesday closure; call ahead. Some dishes may require two portions. Road numbers differ across listings, so use the name and lot address.
Hanwoo charcoal barbecue in town. Verify current price per weight, minimum portions, last order and whether you cook at the table. Plan this after returning from the shuttle.
A practical town meal stop before a coach. Choose an open eatery for noodles, rice or soup and confirm the menu and total price. Market listing does not mean every stall is open.
The hill’s festival food stalls are another option during the event; check the day’s menu and opening. Tofu or vegetable dishes can contain meat, fish stock or seafood—ask before ordering if you have dietary needs.
Travel on your confirmed coach, leave luggage at your booked town accommodation and have a town meal. Confirm tomorrow’s terminal/hotel-to-shuttle transfer and your onward coach. A car itinerary can choose a forest stay, with its extra driving planned.
Day 2 · Morning flowers, then lunch and return
Use the official shuttle or your valid reserved vehicle slot. Allow the shuttle journey, queues and hill visit separately. Pick lunch in Sinwon-myeon only if your car/taxi route fits; otherwise return to town. Add Changpowon only if your onward travel has room.
Changpowon is a separate riverside park. Do not add Suseungdae, a forest adventure and the flower hill to a short coach day just because all are in Geochang. In strong wind, heavy rain or an access closure, keep your return connection and shorten or postpone the hill visit.
More Geochang scenery · separate stops
These photos show Changpowon and Suseungdae, not the flower hill. Choose Changpowon if your return journey has spare time, or Suseungdae for a longer Wicheon itinerary. Arrange transport between sites; they are not one walking route.
