Routes from Seoul
Hover over an amber region pin to see its name; click or tap to select it. Compare car, KTX and flight options. KTX lines connect major stations in order; numbered pins show stations and selected rest areas. Lines between pins are simplified, not surveyed track or road geometry. Train stops vary by service. Select a numbered stop below to locate it on the map.

Top sights
Hwasun Dolmens & Autumn Gardens
Walk through prehistoric heritage and autumn gardens. Choose your entrance, book the journey from Seoul and keep the return simple.
Suncheon Bay
Follow reed beds and tidal channels across Korea's southern wetland, then decide whether to climb to Yongsan Observatory or slow down in the National Garden. This guide keeps the two entrances, sunset timing and return transport unmistakably separate.
Yeosu
Follow the south coast through island walks, a harbour skyline and seafood markets. Yeosu is especially rewarding with an overnight stay, giving you time for Odongdo and a relaxed evening beside the sea.
Gwangju
Discover southwestern Gwangju through contemporary art, Yangnim’s historic lanes, Songjeong food stops and the slopes of Mudeungsan. This guide is for Gwangju Metropolitan City, not Gwangju city in Gyeonggi.
Boseong Green Tea Fields
Walk the curved tea terraces and cedar entrance path at Daehan Dawon in Boseong, Jeonnam. Add the Tea Museum of Korea and plan a relaxed half-day with return transport arranged.
Haenam & Sani Garden
Build a slower southern trip around Sani Garden. Keep the garden in the north-west of Haenam separate from a southern Daeheungsa or Ttangkkeut day.
Jangheung: forest & market
A practical town-based day with Jeongnamjin Cypress Forest Woodland and the Saturday Market area. Keep Cheongwansan as a separate hiking day.
Wando: coast & island choices
Choose a road-accessible Wando coastal day, or a separate ferry day on Cheongsando. A bridge-linked beach and a ferry island need different plans.
Yeosu World Island Exhibition 2026
Visit the main exhibition in Dolsan’s Jinmo district, not the old Expo site beside the railway station.
Seomjingang Train Village
Make a rail-themed family stop in Gokseong. The grounds and any bookable ride can be planned as separate parts of the visit.
Gwangyang Maehwa Village & Cheong Maesil Farm
Walk through the plum-growing hills of Gwangyang Maehwa Village above the Seomjingang River. Plan a March blossom visit around the actual flowering report, or enjoy a quieter countryside stop outside flower season.
Juknokwon & Gwanbangjerim Forest
Walk beneath tall bamboo at Juknokwon in Damyang, then cross to the riverside trees of Gwanbangjerim. Leave time for a bamboo-rice or tteokgalbi meal and a tea break.
Mokpo Historic Streets & Marine Cable Car
Explore old-city streets before viewing Mokpo’s coast from a separate cable-car outing.
Suncheonman National Garden & Wetland
Explore Suncheon through gardens, reed beds and tidal scenery. Give the garden and wetland separate time rather than treating them as one entrance.
Purple Island
Plan a colourful island walk in Sinan, with bridges and village scenery as the main experience.
Yeosu Expo Ocean Park
Explore Yeosu’s waterfront around the former expo site. Choose individual attractions that are operating on your visit date.
Jeongnamjin Cypress Forest Woodland
Slow down among wooded paths in Jangheung. This visit works best with time to walk gently and rest.
