Current September 2026 reporting identifies the seventh festival as September 25–October 11 at Samok 2-ri Meokgol Village; verify programme sessions with the organiser. Flower access after the event is not guaranteed by the dates of a past tour product. Allow extra time for holiday crowds. A riverside setting does not authorise swimming, rafting or unguarded water access.

Plan a train or coach to Yeongwol for your actual date, then a taxi or confirmed local service to the Meokgol festival entrance. A train to Jecheon still needs a separate onward journey. Reserve the return first and leave a rural pickup buffer after your field walk and meal. If buying a rail tour, check its exact departure date, transfers and inclusions rather than assuming every day runs.

Yeongwol town accommodation makes meals and return transport simpler. A Donggang pension suits a car-based overnight only when its exact road and food arrangements fit. Do not book a river lodging merely because it appears close across the water; check the actual road route.
Local food
Festival market food depends on the programme day. Otherwise choose a cooked town meal such as buckwheat pancakes/noodles or snail soup, confirming menu, price and allergens. Snail or river-fish dishes are animal-based, and buckwheat pancakes may contain wheat; do not label them vegetarian or gluten-free without checking.
Personal essentials
Comfortable walking shoes, water, sun protection, warm layer and a charged phone with your pickup saved. Stay inside marked areas and bring a small rubbish bag. Do not enter the water to get a lower camera angle.
