Jongmyo Royal Shrine 종묘

NO-GUESSWORK WALK

Follow one route, then explore

  1. 1

    Jongno 3-ga Station

Follow the signed exit for Jongmyo and confirm the main entrance pin before walking.

  2. 2

    Main gate and spirit path

Pause to read the site signs. Do not walk on the raised central spirit road.

  3. 3

    Jeongjeon

Give the long ritual hall enough distance; its scale is clearer from the open courtyard.

  4. 4

    Yeongnyeongjeon and woodland

Continue only on the visitor route, then return through the marked exit rather than cutting across closed ground.

FOUR DISTINCT VIEWS

What the place really looks like

FOOD & BREAKS

Pause without losing the route

Eat after the shrine around Jongno 3-ga, Gwangjang Market or Ikseon-dong. Food is not the focus inside this solemn heritage site.
