Exit 4Walk roughly 300 metres to Cheonggye Plaza. This is the simplest route from Seoul Station on Line 1.
PICK A FINISH FIRST
Three walks with clear return stations
Plaza → Gwangtonggyo → Jonggak
See the central section, then leave near Jonggak.
Return: Jonggak, Line 1.Plaza → Samilgyo → Jongno 3-ga
Continue under the downtown bridges, then leave for Ikseon-dong or Jongmyo.
Return: Jongno 3-ga, Lines 1·3·5.Plaza → Gwangjang Market
Stay downstream to the market district instead of retracing the path.
Return: Jongno 5-ga or Euljiro 4-ga.STARTCheonggye Plaza→Gwangtonggyo→Samilgyo→Gwangjang Market

Before descending
- Save the exact entrance and return station.
- Note the nearest bridge name.
- Choose a downstream finish.
Rain or darkness
- Use lit, open entrances.
- Never cross a closure barrier.
- Return to street level if water rises.
Wheelchairs or luggage
- Not every entrance is step-free.
- Find a ramp before leaving street level.
- Use the upper road if access is unclear.
