SEOUL FOR FIRST-TIME VISITORS
Follow the colour, station and exit. These diagrams start at Seoul Station. Read every card from left to right: line → transfer → station → exit → final walk or bus. Times are deliberately omitted because waiting, walking and transfer time vary.

CHECK THE LIVE ROUTE BEFORE LEAVING
How to find the correct subway exit and bus stop 1 Search the exact place Use the building or attraction name—not only the neighbourhood. For a broadcaster, search the exact building.
2 Select public transport In Naver Map or KakaoMap, choose transit and set your real starting point. Compare the fewest-transfer option with the least walking.
3 Open the station and stop detail Write down the line, direction, transfer station, exit number, bus number and boarding-stop name. A bus with the right number can still be going the wrong way.
4 Save the return journey Pin the station entrance or opposite-side bus stop before walking away. Recheck the last service for an evening visit.

4 Myeongdong Get off after 2 stops
W Exit 6 or 7 Main shopping streets
Do not miss this Use Exit 8 or 9 for Myeongdong Cathedral. Use Exit 5 instead when continuing to the Namsan cable-car approach. Return: Return through the same numbered exit area and take Line 4 northbound toward Seoul Station.

1 Jongno 3-ga Direct ride; Lines 1, 3 and 5 meet here
W Exit 4 Walk to Ikseon-dong
Do not miss this The transfer corridors are long. Follow Exit 4 signs before passing the final gate. Use a live map for Jongmyo or Insadong because a different exit may be shorter. Return: Confirm Line 1 and the Seoul Station direction; do not follow Line 3 or Line 5 signs by mistake.

↕ City Hall Change to Line 2 toward Euljiro 1-ga
2 Euljiro 3-ga Use the exit nearest your saved pin
W Final alley Recheck the building number before walking
Do not miss this Euljiro is a long district, not one doorway. Search the exact cafe, restaurant, workshop or hotel first. Euljiro 1-ga, 3-ga and 4-ga are different stations; the best exit changes with the destination. Return: At Euljiro 3-ga, follow Line 2 toward City Hall. At City Hall, change to Line 1 for Seoul Station.

↕ Chungmuro Change to Line 3 northbound
3 Anguk Leave by Exit 1
B Walk or Jongno 11 Check the exact Samcheong-dong stop live
Do not miss this Walking north from Anguk is usually simplest for Bukchon and the lower part of Samcheong-dong. For Jongno 11, match the bus number, stop name and direction in the live map before boarding. Return: Save the opposite-side return stop before exploring; the nearest stop can differ from where you arrived.

3 Gyeongbokgung Leave by Exit 5
W Main gate Follow signs to Gwanghwamun Gate
Do not miss this Check the palace closing day before travelling. Anguk Station serves the east side of the palace district; Gyeongbokgung Station is clearer for the main gate. Return: Use Gyeongbokgung Station Line 3, then transfer back to Line 4 at Chungmuro.

B Alternative Chungmuro Exit 2 → 01A or 01B
W Summit finish Both options include an uphill section
Do not miss this The cable-car fare and observatory ticket are separate. The 01A/01B loop is cashless; use a loaded transport card and save the return stop. Return: Recheck the last cable car or circular bus before sunset; walking down in the dark is a separate decision.

4 Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Direct ride
W Exit 1 Follow DDP signs inside the station
Do not miss this This station also serves Lines 2 and 5, so follow the Line 4 signs on the return. Use the signed underground route in poor weather. Return: Take Line 4 northbound toward Myeongdong and Seoul Station.

9 National Assembly Leave by Exit 4
W KBS Official guide: about 3 minutes
Do not miss this KBS also lists Yeouido Station Exit 3 on Line 5, about a 15-minute walk. A building address does not guarantee studio access; check KBS ON, audience or event information first. Return: Return to National Assembly Station; take Line 9 toward Noryangjin and change to Line 1.

B Last connection Walk or choose the live local bus shown for that building
Do not miss this MBC headquarters: search “MBC Sangam”. SBS: search “SBS Prism Tower”. JTBC: search “JTBC Building”. Do not board a bus using the route number alone. Match the stop name and direction because several DMC stops are close together. Return: Save Digital Media City Station Exit 9 as the return point; AREX, Line 6 and Gyeongui-Jungang Line all use the station.

A Hongik University Get off at the next AREX stop
W Exit 9 Busy approach to central Hongdae
Do not miss this Hongik University is a large transfer station. Follow the exit number, not the crowd. For luggage or a quieter exit, check the elevator route in the station map. Return: Follow AREX signs and take the train toward Seoul Station, not Incheon Airport.

↕ Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Change to Line 2 toward Wangsimni and Jamsil
2 Jamsil Follow Lotte World signs
W Exit 3 or 4 Open the exact Adventure entrance pin
Do not miss this Jamsil connects to Lotte World Adventure, the mall and Lotte World Tower. Follow the full attraction name, not only “Lotte.” Check the closing time and ticket conditions before travelling; admission is separate from the subway fare. Return: At Jamsil, take Line 2 toward Wangsimni and transfer to Line 4 at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park.

1 City Hall Leave by Exit 4
W Cheonggye Plaza Walk roughly 300 metres to the stream start
W Downstream Choose Jonggak, Jongno 3-ga or the market as your finish
Do not miss this Search “Cheonggye Plaza” to avoid a random point along the long stream. Save a downstream return station before entering the waterside path; entrances are not all step-free. Return: For a short walk, leave near Jonggak and take Line 1 toward Seoul Station. Never cross a rain-closure barrier.

↕ Sadang → Gangnam Change to Line 2
↕ Gangnam → Giheung Shinbundang to Jeongja, then Suin–Bundang
↕ EverLine + shuttle Giheung → Jeondae·Everland → park
Do not miss this A reserved direct shuttle can be easier; confirm the exact Seoul pickup and return booking. Rail does not finish at the park gate. Follow the shuttle signs at Jeondae·Everland Station. Return: Save the last safe EverLine and connecting metro before entering the park; leave a buffer for the gate and shuttle queue.
