Destination

View the pavilion from the bridge and riverbank, following any posted access restrictions. The heritage agency describes the present pavilion as built in 1872. Allow 45–60 minutes for a short visit; a longer Seonbi Culture Trail walk requires a selected section and return pickup. Wet rocks, steps and the bridge are not a guaranteed step-free route. Stay out of the stream during high water.

Transport

From Seoul, compare intercity coaches to Anui or Hamyang for your date, then arrange the separate journey to Geoyeonjeong in Seoha-myeon. A Hamyang-town ticket does not deliver you to the valley. Confirm the pickup as well as drop-off with a taxi driver; do not start a long one-way walk without a return plan.

Stay

Stay near Anui for a valley-focused car itinerary, or Hamyang town for terminal access. Namgye Hanok Stay in Sudong-myeon is a named option in KTO’s regional guide; it is not beside Geoyeonjeong. Ask about room bedding, meals and transfers before reserving. The older guide is a starting point, not a promise of current vacancy or price.

Local food

Yetnal Geumho Sikdang in Anui is listed by KTO for Anui galbitang (beef-rib soup); the guide lists +82 55-964-8041. Call for current opening, serving availability and the exact map pin. Plan lunch in Anui after the valley, or choose a rice-and-soup eatery near Hamyang terminal if your return coach leaves from there.

A workable visit plan

Anui arrival → prearranged valley transfer → Geoyeonjeong and one short riverside section → Anui lunch → coach or overnight base. Donghojeong and Nongwoljeong are separate optional stops, not a requirement. In rain, shorten the riverside walk and preserve the return pickup.

Suggested visit times are our planning allowances, not measured transfer times. Reserve the return connection first; current room prices, menus and local departures need a check for your travel date.
