Destination
Official hours: March–November 09:00–18:00, December–February 09:00–17:00; admission ends one hour earlier. Closed Mondays, 1 January and the main Seollal/Chuseok days. Admission is free; educational sessions have their own booking. Keep to paths and check the current family programme.
Transport
From Seoul compare a coach to Dangjin Bus Terminal, then arrange a local bus or taxi to the Godae-myeon entrance. Save the full address and last return. A terminal arrival does not put you at the arboretum; allow for the rural leg and current access-road work.
Stay
Choose Dangjin town accommodation for terminal access and an early garden start. A seaside stay is an additional driving choice, not the same neighbourhood. Confirm room type and transport before using a waterfront photograph to choose a hotel.
Local food
Eat in Dangjin town on your return route. The arboretum allows a simple packed lunch in reusable containers but prohibits delivery food, cup noodles and cooking. Seafood at Sapgyoho is a separate excursion; do not add it without transport time.
A workable visit plan
Dangjin arrival → confirmed rural transfer → visitor centre and selected gardens → town meal → return. Reserve a forest-learning session separately if wanted; seasonal water play is not a year-round promise.
