Destination

Explore a Joseon walled town that served military and administrative roles: Jinnammun gate → traditional houses → Dongheon government hall → courtyard and walls. KTO lists free entry, March–October 05:00–21:00 and November–February 06:00–19:00; recheck special notices. Respect memorial areas connected with Catholic persecution and do not assume a performance runs every day.

Transport

Take an intercity coach to Seosan, then a local bus or taxi to Haemi. The Seosan city terminal and fortress are separate stops. Save the return bus details before exploring.

Stay

Compare a confirmed Haemi guesthouse with a Seosan city hotel for onward transport. Check late check-in and the actual route; the fortress itself is a heritage site, not a hotel.

Local food

Use Haemi’s local market and restaurants for a meal near the visit. Jingukjip in the existing Seosan guide is a separate city stop; check the map before adding it rather than presenting it as a fortress-gate restaurant.

Personal essentials

Walking shoes, drinking water, a charged phone and a light warm layer. Save the return transport, entrance pin and reservation details before leaving town. Stay on marked paths and take your rubbish back.

A workable visit plan

Seosan arrival → Haemi fortress loop → local meal → confirmed return or Haemi stay.

Suggested visit times are our planning allowances, not measured transfer times. Reserve the return connection first; current room prices, menus and local departures need a check for your travel date.

Restaurant stops for this regional journey

Separate road stops: compare the live map route, travel time and return pickup before combining them. These are not one continuous walking trail.
