Metasequoia colour can transform this small pond-side scene in autumn. Photograph from the public walking space; the house is private and the photo does not indicate building access.

The green-season view offers a different mood from autumn. Come for a quiet short walk and leave the narrow viewpoint clear for other visitors; calm reflections depend on the wind.

Destination

Nonsan lists free access without advance reservation. Follow the public walking area around the pond; the pictured house is on private property, and KTO says building entry is not allowed. Give other visitors room at the reflection viewpoint. Foliage and calm water are weather-dependent.

Transport

A car or prearranged return taxi is the practical option for this rural stop. Nonsan rail station is not next to the forest. Plan the last leg separately from any Seoul train and agree a pickup; do not rely on finding a taxi at the pond.

Stay

Use Nonsan town for a rail-based overnight or compare a confirmed rural property along your driving route. This guide does not list bookable cabins at Onbit; “natural recreation forest” in the name is not evidence of public lodging availability.

Local food

Schedule lunch in Nonsan or Yeonsan on your actual route before heading into the forest. Use Nonsan’s restaurant directory, checking current opening and minimum portions. Ganggyŏng salted-seafood restaurants are a different district, not a meal next to this pond.

A workable visit plan

Confirmed arrival/return transport → town lunch → pond and forest viewpoint → return or one separately planned Nonsan attraction. Skip extra rural stops if the return train is tight.

Suggested visit times are our planning allowances, not measured transfer times. Reserve the return connection first; current room prices, menus and local departures need a check for your travel date.
