Han River fireworks: plan the evening

The Seoul International Fireworks Festival transforms the Han River skyline for a special event. It is not a nightly show: confirm the edition, date and viewing arrangements with the organiser before making travel plans.

What to see

How to get there

Use the organiser’s current map and transit notices. Yeouinaru and other nearby stations can have crowd controls or changed access. Choose a permitted viewing area and a backup return station in advance.

A practical walking order

Suggested route and time allowance; check live transport and venue notices for your visit.

  1. 1

    Check the current announcement

Open the official festival website and confirm that the date belongs to the edition you plan to attend. An old photograph is not a schedule.

  2. 2

    Arrive at an authorised area

Follow staff directions and keep exits, steps and emergency routes open. Some seats or zones may require a separate booking.

  3. 3

    Stay with your group

Choose a meeting point before crowds grow. Bring water, a charged phone and a layer for the riverside wind.

  4. 4

    Leave by the posted route

Expect a slow departure. Follow event staff, avoid stopping on bridges or roadways and use your planned return route.

Food & a break

Eat before entering a crowded viewing zone and carry water. Delivery access can change during events; a normal picnic pickup point is not an event-day guarantee.
