Check private room versus dormitory, shared bathrooms, quiet hours and any party policy. Ask about luggage storage and arrival arrangements.

Choose for the people travelling

Solo traveller

Compare single occupancy, secure storage, evening arrival and the walk from the station.

Couple

Confirm bed configuration, privacy, room size and the view actually included in the rate.

Family with children

Enter every guest and child’s age. Confirm capacity, extra bedding, breakfast charges and any connecting-room request.

Parents & easier access

Ask about a raised bed, lift route, bathroom steps and distance from drop-off. “Ground floor” is not a step-free guarantee.

Choose the location

Near the station or terminal

Useful to compare for an early departure or heavy luggage. Check the actual exit, lift and last walk rather than straight-line distance.

Near your sightseeing area

Compare the accommodation against the places you will visit most. Check evening noise, vehicle access and the return route after dinner.

A quieter base

Look at the exact street and recent property information. Balance quiet surroundings against food, shops and the return bus or taxi.

Start with your destination

For Yeosu, compare the itinerary with the exact address and arrival route of your chosen accommodation.

Inspect the exact room

Bedroom & bedding

Ask for recent photos of the exact room category: bed or floor bedding, sleeping spaces, window/view and heating controls.

Bathroom & privacy

Confirm private or shared use, location, shower arrangement, thresholds and any support features you need. An exterior photo cannot establish this.

Arrival, stairs & parking

Request entrance and route photos where needed. Confirm lift access, steps, parking charges, vehicle limits and the luggage path to the room.

Before you reserve

Compare the full total

Use the same dates, room and guests. Check taxes, extra persons/bedding, breakfast, parking, deposits and payment currency.

Cancellation & payment

Read the selected rate’s deadline, local time zone, no-show fee and refund terms before paying. Confirm overseas-card acceptance with the seller.

Arrival & confirmation

Save the booking reference and Korean address. Confirm check-in/out, late arrival, luggage storage hours/fees and a working contact method.

Checked official examples

These are examples, not a ranking or a common rule for every property. Your selected room and rate govern the booking.

Arriving late?

Contact the property before its stated cutoff. Ask how to enter, collect the key and reach staff. Save written instructions; do not assume a self-check-in or 24-hour desk.

YOUR FIRST HANOK NIGHT

Choose the room, not just the building.

01

Bed or floor bedding?

Hanok rooms can have floor bedding, raised beds or a mix. Ask for photographs of the exact room. If getting up from the floor is difficult, request a bed.

02

Bathroom & heating

Confirm whether the bathroom is private, where it is, and how the heating and air conditioning work. Ask the host before changing unfamiliar controls.

03

Steps, doors & luggage

Check thresholds, stairs and the distance from the drop-off point. A ground-floor room may still have steps. Ask about the full route to your bedroom and bathroom.

04

A quiet shared setting

Follow the host’s guidance about shoes, shared spaces and quiet hours. Keep conversations and suitcase noise low around other guests and neighbours.

Which kind of stay fits your trip?

Hanok stay

Choose it when the building and local atmosphere are part of the experience. Check room privacy, bedding and access carefully.

Hotel or resort

Compare conventional rooms, reception services and facilities. Confirm the exact room category and which services your rate includes.

Guesthouse or pension

A smaller property can offer a more personal base. Check private versus shared rooms, bathroom arrangements, cooking facilities and arrival hours.

BEFORE YOU RESERVE

Make your booking with confidence.

  1. Match the location to your itinerary

Open the map and plan the trip from your arrival station or airport. Check the return journey after an evening outing.

  2. Confirm the room and full price

Check guest numbers, children’s ages, bedding, bathroom and meals. Ask about extra-person charges, taxes, parking and any accessibility requirements.

  3. Read the payment and cancellation terms

Check accepted overseas cards, any deposit, the cancellation deadline and refund conditions with the original seller.

  4. Keep the confirmation and arrival details

Save the property’s address, contact number and booking reference. Arrange late arrival with the host before you travel.
