THE WALK

Three ways to enjoy the plantation

01 · ARRIVE SLOWLY

Cedar entrance path

Tall cedars lead into the plantation. Start here before heading for the tea terraces; the bamboo forest adds another woodland stop.

02 · LOOK ACROSS THE ROWS

Tea-field viewpoints

Pause on the designated paths to follow the lines of the hillside. Frame the curves from different heights rather than stepping into the planted rows.

03 · CHOOSE YOUR CLIMB

Upper observation deck

The summit viewpoint can reveal the sea on a clear day. The uphill walk is optional: leave time and energy for your descent, and turn back if the path is wet or tiring.

FIRST-VISIT QUESTIONS

A little preparation, a better walk

Can I visit without climbing to the top?

Yes. Choose the entrance woodland and lower viewpoints, then return when you are comfortable. Do not treat the upper deck as a compulsory finish.

Are these photographs what I will see today?

No. These are photographs from previous growing seasons. Leaf colour, harvesting, weather and light change the view; look for recent visitor or operator updates before a photography trip.

Can I pick tea leaves?

Do not pick leaves during an ordinary walk. Ask about a supervised, bookable experience and follow the grower's instructions.

What should I bring?

Comfortable shoes with grip, water and weather protection. Keep your route shorter if it is hot, rainy or slippery.

What about wheelchairs or pushchairs?

Do not assume the hillside paths or upper viewpoint are step-free. Ask the plantation about current accessible routes before arrival.

What can I buy?

The plantation has a product shop. Compare loose-leaf tea and tea bags, check brewing instructions and ask which tea was grown locally. Check current café menus for drinks and desserts.

Where to base yourself

Compare accommodation in Boseong town and arrange transport to the tea fields. Check the property’s location and evening meal options before booking.
