K-Beauty · PRACTICAL GUIDE
Try a soft everyday Korean-inspired makeup look
One optional look to practise: a light base, softly defined brows and a gentle lip colour. Korean makeup includes many styles; adapt this example to your own face and preferences.

1 · Prepare your own products and tools
Start with your usual skincare and follow each product’s label. Prepare a clean puff or brush, mirror, brow product and lip colour. You can practise with products you already own; buying every product category is unnecessary. Choose comfortable shades rather than trying to change your skin colour.
2 · Apply a thin base
Use a small amount of cushion or foundation and build a light layer, then add only where you want coverage. HERA’s cushion instructions describe gently patting with the puff after skincare. Check the edge near the jaw and hairline in ordinary light before adding more.
3 · Keep brows softly defined
Brush brows into place, then use short light strokes only where you want definition. Follow your natural brow shape; a straight brow is an option, not a rule. Step back from the mirror and compare both sides without repeatedly darkening them.
4 · Add optional eye and cheek colour
For this soft look, try a light wash of your chosen eyeshadow and blend its edges. Liner and mascara are optional; use products only on the areas permitted by their labels. Add a little blush and reassess in normal light. Skip any step you do not enjoy.
5 · Choose a soft lip finish
Apply a small amount of lip colour and build gradually. For a softly blended look, start nearer the centre and soften the edge with your own clean applicator. A full even lip colour works too. Check in ordinary light; a tinted balm, lipstick and overnight lip mask have different uses.
Take the look into a Seoul outing
Use the product guide to understand what you used, the comparison guide to make a short shopping list, then choose one Seoul beauty district. If booking a makeup lesson, ask whether it teaches a repeatable routine, which language is used and whether products are included.
