Along the river
Keep the first day flexible around your arrival and local transfers.
Examples of dishes, not booked restaurants. Check menus, ingredients, prices and opening hours on the day.
How to change Day 1 for the weather
Rain: Shorten outdoor walks and choose an indoor museum or market only if open.
Heat or cold: Move outdoor stops toward a more comfortable hour and add water and a seated break.
Weather warning: Follow official warnings and operator notices. Keep the day near your base rather than forcing booked travel or an exposed walk.
Check the official forecast ↗ and current admission or trail notices for Along the river.
Nearby to see & do
These are optional places in the wider destination. Check the distance, opening day and journey before adding a stop.
Dodamsambong PeaksSee three rock formations rising from the river, with a pavilion on the tallest. Enjoy the view from the visitor area; boat excursions, when operating, are a separate purchase. Plan your visit: The three rock formations are best treated as a riverside landscape stop. Choose a public viewing area and allow time to look beyond a single photograph. Any boat activity has separate weather and operating conditions; the normal viewpoint visit does not include a cruise.NAVER Map · English ↗KakaoMap · English ↗Google Maps ↗
Mancheonha SkywalkThis clifftop viewpoint overlooks the river, town and surrounding mountains. Check current admission, transport within the attraction and whether the exposed walk suits your group. Plan your visit: Confirm the site's access and internal transport arrangements before arrival. A ticket to the viewpoint and optional adventure activities may be different purchases. Visitors uncomfortable with heights can choose a riverside stop instead.NAVER Map · English ↗KakaoMap · English ↗Google Maps ↗
Danyanggang Jando TrailWalk a section of the riverside path for close-up views of the cliffs and water. Check access after heavy rain and choose a turnaround point that fits your schedule. Plan your visit: The riverside boardwalk offers close views of the landscape but can be affected by weather or access notices. Choose a suitable out-and-back distance and carry water. Check the return route to your transport rather than assuming the walk ends beside town accommodation.NAVER Map · English ↗KakaoMap · English ↗Google Maps ↗
Gugyeong Traditional MarketBrowse a market known for garlic-based snacks and meals. Individual businesses set their own hours, so visit before your last transport connection. Plan your visit: Use the market for a meal and local food purchases between sightseeing stops. Garlic features in several Danyang specialties, but individual dishes differ. Ask about ingredients and portion size before ordering several items.NAVER Map · English ↗KakaoMap · English ↗Google Maps ↗
Gosu CaveThe limestone cave offers a different experience from the river viewpoints. Check the current visitor route and physical requirements; cave stairs, narrow sections and damp surfaces can be challenging. Bring a light layer and footwear with grip, and follow photography and access signs.NAVER Map · English ↗KakaoMap · English ↗Google Maps ↗
