Look for accommodation in or around Haeundae, Busan. Compare its distance to the arrival station or terminal and your first sightseeing stop. A rural attraction may be easier to visit from a town base with an arranged transfer.

A taste of Busan

Dwaeji gukbap — Pork and rice soup is one of Busan’s signature meals. Slices of pork sit in a rich broth, with rice served in the bowl or alongside it depending on the restaurant.

Typical ingredients: Pork and pork broth, Rice, Spring onion or chives, Optional salted shrimp and chilli seasoning. Rich, savoury and comforting. The plain soup is usually mild; added seasonings make it saltier or spicier.
