Destination

The county announces the 2026 opening on 19 September. Walk the designated autumn garden paths at Samgot-ri; kochia turns red gradually and archive photographs do not guarantee colour on your date. Check current garden access and rain-related notices before travelling. No verified 2026 closing date is assumed here.

Transport

If using Line 1, check a train that actually reaches Yeoncheon; not every service continues that far. Arrange the rural bus or taxi from the station separately and agree a return pickup. The riverside garden is not beside the railway station.

Stay

Compare a confirmed stay in Yeoncheon or Jeongok with the next day’s rail plan. Ask about late check-in and transport before booking a rural pension. Avoid planning a dark walk back along an unlit riverside.

Local food

Eat in Yeoncheon town before the rural transfer, or plan Jeongok Market as a separate town stop. Check opening times; do not assume permanent restaurants or evening stalls in the garden.

Personal essentials

Walking shoes, drinking water, a charged phone and a light warm layer. Save the return transport, entrance pin and reservation details before leaving town. Stay on marked paths and take your rubbish back.

A workable visit plan

Station → agreed garden transfer → designated paths and photographs → daylight pickup → town meal or return rail.

Suggested visit times are our planning allowances, not measured transfer times. Reserve the return connection first; current room prices, menus and local departures need a check for your travel date.
