The 2026 autumn Flower Festa runs 12 September–5 October in Jaraseom’s garden area. KTO lists a ₩7,000 ticket with a ₩5,000 local gift voucher: this is not a cash refund, and participating shops must be checked. Plan a daylight walk from the island entrance to the southern garden. After 5 October verify garden access rather than assuming the festival or all island facilities continue unchanged.
Transport
Take an ITX-Cheongchun or Gyeongchun-line service to Gapyeong Station, then check the walking route or taxi to the island entrance. Allow the additional walk inside Jaraseom; a garden pin is not the railway station.
Stay
Compare Gapyeong town accommodation for rail access with an independently reserved campsite. Festival admission does not include camping, caravans, boat trips or an overnight room; confirm each booking with its operator.
Local food
During the festival check open stalls and whether they accept the local voucher. Gapyeong Jatgoeul Market and town dakgalbi restaurants are separate meal stops; ask spice levels, allergens and minimum portions.
Personal essentials
Walking shoes, drinking water, a charged phone and a light warm layer. Save the return transport, entrance pin and reservation details before leaving town. Stay on marked paths and take your rubbish back.
A workable visit plan
Gapyeong Station → island entrance → southern flower garden → voucher-eligible meal/shop → return train or booked stay.
