From Seoul, reach Yesan by coach or an appropriate rail service, then arrange the local transfer to Yedang Lake.

Choose a practical base

Look for accommodation in or around Yesan, Chungnam. Compare its distance to the arrival station or terminal and your first sightseeing stop. A rural attraction may be easier to visit from a town base with an arranged transfer.

For a hanok stay, ask about bed or floor bedding, private bathrooms, steps, check-in and luggage storage. For a hotel, compare access to the local transport you plan to use.

A taste of Chungnam

Hodu-gwaja — Small walnut-shaped cakes with walnut pieces and sweet bean filling. These travel snacks are strongly associated with Cheonan and are easy to share on a train journey.

Typical ingredients: Wheat-flour batter, Walnuts, Sweet bean filling, Often egg or dairy. Sweet and nutty, with a soft cake shell and a smooth filling interrupted by walnut pieces.

Make it part of your trip

Choose your main stop from Yedangho Suspension Bridge, Yedangho Monorail. Check the map before adding another: places grouped in one selection may have separate entrances and require a local transfer.
