Arrival & final connections
Compare ITX-Cheongchun and the Gyeongchun rail route for your departure point. For Nami Island, plan the Gapyeong Station-to-ferry-terminal connection separately. The island is not next to Chuncheon Station. For a city visit, choose Chuncheon or Namchuncheon according to your hotel and first stop.

Coach & local bus
A coach to Chuncheon does not deliver you to Nami Island. Treat Hwacheon’s festival transfer as a separate outing only after its dates are confirmed.
Final transfer & return
From Gapyeong, reach the Nami wharf by local transport, then take the ferry. Reserve the return crossing before a tightly timed train.
Rental pickup & return
Reserve a named depot near your arrival gateway. Confirm its street address, opening hours, licence requirements, winter equipment and the exact return depot with the operator before paying. Allow time for refuelling, vehicle inspection and any depot shuttle before your return train or flight. One-way returns need explicit agreement.
Parking & the walking approach
Nami visitors leave the car on the mainland. Hotel Jeonggwanru guests should register their vehicle at check-in and check the operator’s parking terms.

Day-by-day route
- Day 1 — Nami Island: allow time for the station transfer, ticket purchase and ferry queue. Walk one main tree-lined route, warm up indoors and return before your onward connection. Transfer to Chuncheon for dinner and an overnight stay; do not add a festival to the same day.
- Day 2 — Choose Samaksan Lake Cable Car if operating, followed by a relaxed city meal and a short lakeside visit. A cable-car ticket does not turn this into a summit-hiking itinerary. Keep the final rail departure separate from the attraction’s last entry time.
- Optional day — Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival: reserve a dedicated day once the organiser confirms the season. Check foreign-visitor booking, equipment, catch handling, food and cancellation rules. Agree your return transport before entering. The 2027 event dates and prices are not confirmed in this guide.

Where to stay & eat
Use a Chuncheon station or city-centre base with an agreed transfer for each outing. Dakgalbi often has a minimum order for more than one person: ask before sitting down. Keep a soup or noodle alternative for solo dining.

An island meal avoids an extra mainland transfer. Check the day’s menu, serving times and ferry plan; island admission is separate from your meal.
Planning allowance
KRW 90,000–160,000 per adult / day: an editorial planning allowance for a shared twin room, meals and ordinary local travel. This is not a surveyed average or a package price.
Exclude flights, intercity rail, attraction tickets, festival admission, ski passes, lessons, clothing, equipment and dedicated taxis or private transfers. A solo room, weekend stay or extensive taxi use can exceed the range. Obtain separate quotes for these extras before booking.
Currency converterWeather & backup plan
No snow does not cancel the tree-lined island walk. If the cable car or ferry stops, keep a city food and indoor day rather than waiting past your return train. If the festival cannot be confirmed, publish and book the Chuncheon base trip without it.
