The river panorama is the reason to slow down. The old ginkgo and tea tradition give the temple its character; stories connecting the tree and temple name with King Sejo are traditions, not a verified planting record. Tea-room opening should be checked locally.

Choose a train stopping at Ungilsan. The city temple page lists bus 58 / ThankYou 58-3 from the station to Sujongsa Entrance / Joan Health Subcentre. The stop is below the temple: an uphill walk remains. Confirm direction and return departures in live transport information.
A taxi can shorten the steep road approach. Confirm the permitted drop-off with the driver and arrange your return before going up; taxis waiting at the temple are not guaranteed. The final 400 m is still on foot.
Enter the Korean temple name and address in navigation. Follow current access and parking instructions on the final uphill road. Book pickup and return at a specific rental branch; confirm licence, IDP, payment and opening-hour requirements before paying.
KTO lists temple parking as free. A final uphill approach of about 400 m / 15 min remains. Parking space is not guaranteed; follow signs and current staff instructions. Do not stop on the access road for photographs.

Plan a meal after descending. This Joan-myeon dining area needs an onward transfer; select a restaurant that fits your bus or car route.
Finish with a riverside café in Joan or Hwado. Check the exact riverbank and return connection; the café district is not all walkable from Sujongsa.
