TRAVEL HELP · DECISION GUIDE
Find the correct place and exit
A correct destination name is only the first step. Your final subway exit, boarding side and building entrance determine whether the last part of the journey works.
Save a destination that staff can recognise
Save the Korean name, full address, branch and entrance pin together. Keep your accommodation booking accessible offline. A map search for a hotel chain, mountain summit or island may not identify the doorway you need. For hiking, use the named trail entrance; for a ferry, use the terminal on your ticket.
Read each leg before boarding
In NAVER Map, enter your actual starting point and choose public transport or walking. For a subway, match line, direction, transfer and exit. For a bus, match the stop name and direction on the sign rather than trusting a bus number alone. Save the stop where you will get off and check it during the ride. Recalculate if you miss a connection.
The last walk and a step-free alternative
Open the final walking segment before leaving the station. If you have luggage or need a lift, check station signs and the accessible entrance rather than assuming the nearest numbered exit is suitable. At a divided road, use a marked crossing. Do not cut through a railway area or private property because a pin looks close.
When the first attempt fails
| What happened | Next action |
|---|---|
| You are at the wrong branch | Show the saved booking address; ask staff to identify the correct branch before restarting the route. |
| Your phone has no data | Show your saved address to station staff. Use the connection guide before attempting another unfamiliar transfer. |
| The suggested route uses a closed entrance | Follow current signs, then recalculate from the open entrance. A map suggestion is not permission to pass a barrier. |

Find the correct place and exit
Try this first
- Copy the Korean place name and full address. Check the exact branch rather than choosing a similar name.
- Use a map app such as NAVER Maps, select your language, then choose walking, public transport or driving.
- Check subway line, direction, transfer and exit. For buses, confirm the boarding stop and side of the road. Save your destination address and final stop.
If you are still stuck
Show the saved address to station staff or a local person. Follow current signs and service notices; ask 1330 for travel interpretation when needed.
